This is one out of literally numerous reasons why we are discontinuing API components. They really are terribly awful. Please refer to: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails76.html We are no longer going to be quiet about API components. We simply tell the truth of them in help topic 76. The freezing you are referring to and the errors you are referring to have to do with the T4 API component. We finally are coming out with our version that no longer uses it, later today. The simple answer to all of your questions, is that chart data errors only cause a problem with what you visually see in the chart and studies that use the chart data, will be affected by those values since they use those values. Other than that, rest assured there is no issue and we cannot take more time on these questions. When historical data is downloaded, as long as the last Date-Time in the chart is correct, out of order timestamps will not be a problem. Other than affecting studies, and drawing tools, that is the only potential problem that out of order timestamps can cause. In no case, is trading ever affected. You need to understand we are very busy, and can only take so much time on extensive questions like these. It literally takes time away from our development . There is no one who can answer these other than the engineers who do the programming. We have no control over data comes from other systems or proprietary API components.
