Sierra's spreadsheet studies are internal, written by Sierra engineers, and do not use nor need an Excel installation. Sierra's spreadsheet studies use many Excel-named functions, so they are mostly 'Excel compatible'. Sierra Chart is very stable, and so are the spreadsheet studies. Again, yes, the 'signal can be triggered directly from Sierra Chart into IB account'. What you want to do is possible with Sierra Chart. Read the documentation, then experiment. There will be a 'learning curve' so be persistent.
