For the first hour starting at 9:30 AM US Eastern time on 2016-02-08, the NASDAQ stocks part of US equities data feed was not transmitting any data. Also the BATS data feed was affected as well. Historical data was not affected. Only real-time data. We have not had an issue like this previously and the problem has been discovered this evening and we are working to resolve it. Basically it was a timing issue affecting a sequence of events causing a table of symbols to get cleared after the symbols were received from our source data feed. Once this problem is fixed, which will be before morning, this issue cannot happen again. We were not aware of the problem until users started reporting it because our normal server monitoring processes could not detect this kind of issue plus the NYSE was not affected making it less obvious.
