Post From: drawing file for each chart

I was wondering if it would be possible to store the drawings associated with a symbol. For example if I have a chart of GBPUSD open then the drawings would be stored in GBPUSD.drawing or something similar. So if I change the chart symbol to EURUSD then I won't see the GBPUSD drawings. And if I open GBPUSD in a new chart then I would see the drawings again. I realize I could simply have a chart open for EURUSD and GBPUSD each one with unique drawings but it's cumbersome to have a chart open for each forex pair. After years of using SC I recently discovered the quick typing ability to change time period and symbol and I find it very useful. I can quickly look at forex and stocks I really like it. But if I draw something on a chart then I have to delete the drawings when I change symbol. I'd like to be able to preserve those drawings without having a separate chartbook for each instrument. I feel like this is the most elegant solution- to store the drawings in a separate file. Ideally if we could edit the drawing files and adjust the drawings that would be even more awesome. |
