If I am using the Initial Balance study do I need two separate instances of this study if I want separate alerts for price hitting two separate IB extensions. No. You just need to use the OR function. The OR function must be the outermost function call in the formula. Since the CROSSOVER function requires a range of values, this definitely will not work: The other question I had was the use of the CROSSOVER function. Can anyone confirm this does NOT work if you put in eg "C + 0.25" - ie you can't use it where you want the alert on price approaching rather than hitting your price level.
