Unless you can hear the hard drive actually being accessed it's unlikely the data is even being pulled off of disk. A chart that has had it's intraday data already loaded for one timeframe t is extremely likely to have all file contents in the OS filesystem cache after that point - meaning HD or SSD won't make a difference. 2 minutes is pretty long for 300 days of intraday.
