I got the programming to work without crashing SC; reduced the chart#23 to 5 days data (24hrs)and the rows in the spreadsheet to 5000. I had the sheet set to 300000 rows (actually 600000 before the programming) because I was doing a years study for statical analysis. The "new spreadsheets seem to have a limit, not that I need 300000 rows but could you let me know what the limit is. This study that we are having problems with is for a daily trade decisions and is fine set to the times I have now. Steve
