We have run a test and we did not see any problem with Chartbooks opened and saved in 1189 and using those same Chartbooks in 1187.

However, to access your back up Chartbooks, refer to the instructions here:

There would have been a problem with saving a Chartbook with 1188 and trying to use it in another or same version. The Chartbook would have been damaged.
