I just counted my charts. I have 1044 charts across 17 chartbooks. Probably 2 thirds are hidden and I just use them to overlay studies in the visible charts. So maybe I have 400 Windows MDI tabs showing across the chartbooks. I strongly believe it has something to do with the number of charts/MDI tabs that causes this issue. It sounds like me and the previous poster both have hundreds of charts which is most likely unusual usage of Sierra Chart. I don't remove chart title bars they are all always there. Once the MDI tabs go missing (happens intermittently not every time) only way for me to get them back is setting "Use MDI window tabs" to No and restarting. Then once its restarted, setting it to Yes. Then they appear every time. I have been running SC like this for a few years and its only this year that I've noticed the issue. I keep my SC up to date, sounds like the previous poster doesn't. Possibly its an issue with Windows and hitting some limit, but I'm almost certain its also related to the high number of charts/MDI tabs. And yeah I agree SC is very stable and reliable in the way it has been designed. No other trading app would probably come close to even allowing this many charts to be open. |
