Post From: Bottom Tabs

I've been struggling with the same problem for months.

I also have a lot of tabs top and bottom.

The intermittent nature of this seems like some kind of race condition.

Maybe have the devs (in the code) try loading the top/bottom tabs, then pause a few seconds, and then start loading the chart data (or vice versa).

The fact that you can't just set Use MDI Window Tabs to No, Apply, then set it to Yes, and Apply again (and have it appear) gives some information as to the nature of the problem. To get the tabs back you have to set to No then completely restart Sierra Chart and then set to Yes.

Or maybe that's the answer - (in the code) don't load the MDI Window Tabs setting into memory until after all the charts have been updated.

Again the intermittent nature of this seems like a race condition. I've been using Sierra Chart for years and this never used to happen. I want to say I noticed this around the Fall 2024, but it's hard to say exactly because I'm not continuously downloading the latest version.

Somehow the Chartbook tabs are rock solid. It's only the MDI Window Tabs that have this problem

Here's some more info, but not sure if it's helpful.
- I have hundreds of MDI window tabs spread across around 20 chartbook tabs

- Around 90% of the charts are for SPY. Of those maybe 25% come from Interactive Brokers using SPY-STK-SMART-USD and rest come from the free Sierra Chart delayed.

- Around 5% of my charts are for ES-202506-CME from Interactive Brokers (Continuous Futures, Date Rule Rollover, Back Adusted)

- The remaining 5% are miscellaneous from either Interactive Brokers or free Sierra Chart delayed data
