Good evening folks new user here trying out Sierra chart after a lapse of a few years when I tried it first. I have a quick question about setting up the volume by price study. My chart timeframe is 30 minutes and I’m setting up daily volume profiles, and I noticed that my value areas and the point of controls are different than what I see on thinkorswim or trading view. I noticed that in the calculation method there is total volume and also total trades when I choose total number of trades, the value area and the point of control are closer to what I see on thinkorswim or trading you. However, I thought the volume by price is supposed to take the total volume And if I use that method, the point of control and the value of areas are completely different from what I see on other platforms. I’m pretty sure this is a setting error on my end, but I wanted to understand which is the preferred method for the volume by price that would get me closer to what I see on the other platforms Thanks |
