Just to clarify, I really don't understand your question: "is this still the same or can one now have the DOM separate from the price chart?" If you go to File and there you can see: "Open Trading DOM for Chart" and "Open Trading DOM". Maybe there is a missunderstanding, but the second one has nothing to do with the chart and is a standalone chart.
