What you are stating is definitely not true. If you have a 1000 tick chart ("Number of Trades" on the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period" window) and add the "Volume" study, the volume will give you the total volume traded for each bar, which is not 1000. Attached is an image of what we are seeing. You will see the volumes are not all 1000.
