That chart must have a reference to a different chart. The "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study has this ability, so that would make sense. When you duplicate the chart, it is changing to the same period as the chart that is being referenced in ChartbookB. Keep in mind that the referenced chart is being referenced through the Chart Number defined in the study. So if is is referencing Chart #7 in ChartbookA, it is going to be referencing Chart #7 in ChartbookB, which may not be a chart for which you want this to be occurring.
