You have already determined what the problem is. You are running into an operating system problem with detached chart windows. We see you are using Windows XP. Windows XP is running into a problem when a large number of detached charts are opened. This is a known issue with Windows XP. The reason you may not see a problem with other programs is the style of window they may be using is different. This problem is a Windows XP issue 100%. We are fairly certain this problem does not exist on Windows 7, because we do not hear about this problem on Windows 7. So we highly recommend updating to Windows 7.
