That field is coloring as you want. What you need to keep in mind is that the coloring is based on the highest and lowest values for that particular subgraph. The values you are viewing at that time are all relatively close in value, therefore they are all colored the same color. If you scroll back in time, you will see the colors change. But, since this is a cumulative value, as the day goes on the numbers are going to tend toward a particular value, so later in the day you will typically see the same coloring for the shown values.
