But, as we stated above, you can not download data from CQG for a past contract. So using a Continuous Futures Contract will only work with data you already have on the system.

For example, if you just started getting the data today for a V contract, then you can not use a Continuous Futures Contract. But, if you collect the V data through until the contract changes to X (or Z) then you can use the Continuous Futures Contract option to display the data for the V and X (Z) contracts. Just make sure you do not try to load data going back further than what you have data for.
