Post From: Correct usage of background coloring for Numbers Bars study

I have a Numbers Bars study in my chart to create a footprint that especially shows / hightlights the bid and ask imbalances. (see screenshot 1) I want to simplify that study by replacing the numbers with simple colored bars. To achieve that, I set the column 1 background coloring method to "Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage" - which is exactly the same setting that I used for the text coloring method. (see screenshot 2) Unfortunately, the resulting studies look different (e.g., not the same rows are colored in both studies) and I don't understand why. (see screenshot 3) I assume the coloring setting somehow works differently for text and background, but I don't know exactly how. Could you please let me know what I'm missing here? Thanks! |
