Yes, there is a limitation of 5 years for the maximum amount of data that can be loaded into a chart for symbols that use a single digit year, of which Rithmic is one. This does not, in any way, make the Continuous Futures Contract option not supported - just limited to 5 years. As you state, a way around this limitation, would be to have a second installation of Sierra Chart with the "Current Selected Service" set to "SC Data - All Services". Just be aware that the symbols are going to be different between the two installations. The symbol that is shown in the original post would be one associated with having your service set to "SC Data - All Services". Given this, is your question answered? You definitely should never have had your symbols changed from ES to MES and from NQ to MNQ. There had to be some other reason for this.
