Perhaps I should add to make explicit. Clicking 'FLATTEN CANCEl" does not closeout the phantom entry triangle. If I enter a new order the phantom entry triangle immediately closes with a long connecting line to the new location. simultaneously a new phantom triangle is also created at the new location. Oddly even though EdgeClear says there is no open order, everytime the phantom entry triangle closes an amount is added to the profit/loss tally that I have shown on the screen. This is why I was afraid I was incurring liability.
