Order Types: Stop Orders on the CME In this section it’s written that it is a safety feature implemented by cme. So i tried placing a buy stop order and then i checked the price2 which was stop price +12 points i believe.. so as per the 12 points is like a safety net, in almost all-cases other than in extreme volatility it should still execute like a stop market order… am I right?
