It is not real money. We hesitate to call it a "Demo" account, as that is not really what it is about. Since we are not a broker, there is not the concept of a "Demo" and a "Live" account. For our purposes we use the terms "Simulation Mode" or "Live Trading", as what you are doing depends on what service you are connected to and whether you are in Simulation Mode or not.
