What you want is definitely possible, I enter every order this way. There's lots of documentation to familiarize yourself with, but it's all there. First you want to understand Chart Trade Mode: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Chart Trading You can enter orders from the chart several ways. You can right-click anywhere on the chart to bring up a trade orders menu, see here: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Entering Orders From the Chart You can also add BUY and SELL columns next to the price axis - this is what I do. Sierrachart calls this the Chart DOM/Order Entry Ladder. See here: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Using the Chart DOM / Order Entry Ladder You can customize what happens when you click the columns above/below current price: Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart DOM Settings I like using the Order Entry Ladder along with the chart values/crosshair tool. This way the horizontal crosshair line is visible at the exact price level when the cursor is over the Buy or Sell column. Orders can be entered near the current price or far away, then dragged into place. This method requires clicking in the appropriate Buy or Sell column, not just anywhere on the chart, but I prefer it vs. the right-click menu method. You'll have to experiment with the different methods, but you should be able to find a configuration that works for you. |
