You need to keep in mind how the charts are updated. In general, the charts are updated according to the "Chart Update Interval". But if there are no trades occurring, then there will not be an update. As such, the Countdown Timer will not update until there is another trade. As such, seeing a difference of a few seconds would not be unusual and is not something to be concerned about.
