We see the 5 minute EMAs updating as they should on the 30 minute chart. One way to help see this occurring is to change the "Draw Style" for the copied data to "Value of Subgraph" and then set the "Width/Size" to something that can easily read (start around 10). Then you can see the actual value updating, which may be too small to really see with just a dash.
