1. EUREX trading data from today means it's going to end on 31 of March, is that so ? So it's sensible to wait until the end of the month for a full month? Do they offer any free trials? Is the total sum to be paid $36 for SC and $25 for EUREX / monthly ?
This is correct - the exchanges are not pro-rated and they renew on a calendar month basis. So if you activate an exchange in the middle of the month (such as today - March 18, 2024) you will pay the full amount for the exchange fee for the remainder of the month, and then you will pay again on the first day of the following month. If you can wait until the first day of the following month, then that can save you some funds. EUREX does not have a free trial. Your "monthly" fees would be the package cost ($36.00 if you use the "Integrated Standard" package) and the exchange fees ($25.00 for EUREX EOBI). Just keep in mind the packages renew on a rolling 31 day cycle as opposed to the exchanges that renew on a calendar month cycle. 2. Can I have different .scid files for the same symbol? The case is I downloaded some large amounts of data for replays and the intraday chart runs very slowly and lags even if I set relatively small number of days. Alternatively, can I redownload it with lesser amount of data or do i need to delete the file manually ?
There is only 1 data file (.scid file) for each symbol. Whatever amount of data you need is what is downloaded and stored. Keep in mind that since futures have limited contracts, your data files are only holding the data for each contract. The only option for managing the size of the files is changing the storage interval. Depending on what/how you are charting, you would need to set the following option as appropriate: Data/Trade Service Settings: Intraday Data Storage Time Unit (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
