It does not matter if they are adjacent or not. The same rules apply for getting a sound alert when there are a certain number of visual alerts shown for a bar. The easiest way is to use the "Count of Alerts" subgraph and set that equal to the number you want. For example, if you want an alert when there are 3 visual cues, then you would write the following formula for the alert:
=ID1.SG59 >= 3
