We have not updated this thread in a while, but we want to say that in the background we are working towards changes to prevent this issue from happening again. There are a lot of background details and circumstances related to it. Policies from service providers and the EUREX, make this a very difficult effort though. We do not know the timing, but we hope the changes will come this year. Being this is a very rare problem though, this time frame, is reasonable. And we still do not have any official explanation of what went wrong other than a fiber cable became damaged or failed. But a fiber cable obviously cannot fail. So obviously there must have been some damage which occurred overnight in Equinix FR2. And no one has acknowledged or admitted to that.
