No not at all: then I suspect that you are evaluating the email address is the same as the one stored on SierraChart. In my case they are different. I had used a hotmail address on SierraChart and a gmail address on Apex.
I ran into this issue when i tried to connect to an AMP account and I ended up updating my email on SierraChart and then it connected. Can you please confirm if this would be a reason for the error I am seeing? There is no connection whatsoever between an email address on your Sierra Chart account, despite any coincidences you might have seen, and connecting to an external service.
