Hello, I just had the weirdest issue with Sierra Chart. This has never happened and I want to make sure my configuration is correct so that it doesn't happen again. I am trading on 4 instances of SC on the same machine. I have 3 denali data connections and one rithmic data connection. Some functions weren't working for me, so, I went to restart everything. When attempting to close the rithmic instance, I received a resource constraint error when I tried the Save All command to save my chart books. I tried three times and the error came up. (Apologies, I did not capture the error at the time.) After the 3rd time, I hit X in the corner, it asked me to save all, I confirmed and then it closed. Here's where it gets weird. I re-launched all 4 instances. When I pulled up my chartbooks for the rithmic instance, they were all identical to one of my other instances. Same symbols, same studies on the chart, etc. I closed without saving and tried again. Same thing. Needless to say, I had to rebuild all of my chart books. Has this ever happened - one instance of Sierra Chart opens with the chartbooks of another instance? To be clear, these are not sub instances. These are entirely different instances in different directories. Thanks for any assistance or guidance at anything I can do to prevent this in the future. |
