I have 2 instances of Sierra Chart connected to the same installation of IB TWS. 1st instance runs on the 1st 32" monitor. 2nd instance runs on a 2nd 32" monitor. IB TWS Settings: IP address 127.0.0.1, Socket Port 7496, Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients. Check SC Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. 1st instance is running on Server Port 7496. 2nd instance in running on Server Port 11099. 2nd instance is started by going to File >> New Instance.
Chartbooks and Studies for the 1st instance are located under SierraChart >> Data. Chartbooks and Studies for the 2nd instance are located under SierraChart >> SierraChartInstance_2 >> Data. Any changes to studies in Instance 1, need to be copied to this Instance 2 directory for them to appear in Instance 2. I think you're talking about the sub instance from within the SC. What I am referring to is a separate installation of SC |
