There is not a direct way to do this. But, to renumber the IDs of studies, you can duplicate the study to a new number, remove the previous version of it, then add/duplicate another study to take the position of the missing number. For example, from what you gave above. You want ID4 to become ID7, so duplicate the study in ID4, which will be ID5. Add the new study, which will take on ID4, since it is now the lowest number not used. Then continue to do this until you have what you want.
