Typically when this occurs it is because your chart is not scrolled back, so there is nothing to replay since the chart is at the most recent bar. Make sure you are scrolled back to where you want to start from. If you are using the "Use Start Date-Time" option, then make sure that the date/time you are entering exists in the chart - you can only run a replay for the data that is loaded in the chart.
