To begin with, in order to work with the new interface, refer to the following: Settings Windows Interface The Graph Draw Type is set in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Graph Draw Type". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Graph Draw Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Graph Draw Type menu) The Bar Period is defined in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Bar Period Type" and "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Bar Period Value". Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Bar Period Type (List) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Intraday Chart Bar Period Settings menu) In order to save these items as the default for future charts, you want to use the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Save Days to Load, Intraday Bar Period, Graph Draw Type as Default". Set this to "Yes" and then select "OK" to close the Chart Settings window and the defaults will be saved.
