I have downloaded a stud collection file for use in Sierra that sits on my desktop. As per normal -- so that this file is usable in my chartbooks -- I drop it into the Data Folder in Sierra in my C drive. What was unusual is that when I looked in the data folder these files that are usually hollow or whited out were PDF file with the file extension .cht which is the proper extension. When I open a chartbook in Sierra and import the file all is good and I get a proper chart probably because despite showing as a pdf file the extension .cht is the correct extension. My concern is how did these files turn into PDF fileas and could this cause an issue down the road. Is there a way to change them back to what they are supposed to be when whited out or hollow looking? |
