Changing the Date Range in the file will not work in this case, as it is a Futures contract, and you are using a Continuous Futures Contract feature. The Date Range in File just shows the range for the primary symbol for the chart. Setting it back will only have it jump forward, as you saw, to when the contract started. Since you have your settings for "Use Date Range", you need to enter a beginning date range of 2021-08-01. You can leave the Date Range To blank to get the current data.
