As we answered previously, the answer is "No". There is not a way to not have the alerts added to the Alert Manager. The one option that may work for you is to use the "Compact Alert Popup Window". You can have this come up for a certain Alert Number that you would assign to a certain alert. The other alerts would not use this. Then when that particular alert is true, you would get the popup.
