Use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study. In the Alert, enter the following: =OR(AND(H[-1] > H[-2], H[-1] > H[0]), AND(H[-1] < H[-2], H[-1] < H[0])) Refer to the following: Color Bar Based on Alert Condition Note that you can put some kind of marker rather than coloring the bar. There is a section on this in the above documentation, but start with coloring the bar. Note that since you are looking back one bar, you will actually get the coloring on the 3rd bar (not the middle one). You can change this with the "Displacement" option on the Subgraphs tab and set it to -1. But get everything else working first.
