This would mean that your charts are setup for chart specific graphics. Select Chart >> Graphics Settings >> Chart and see if the option at the top for Use Global Graphics Settings Instead of These Settings is disabled. If it is, then the chart graphics are defined by the settings in this window. If it is enabled, then we would need to know and we would dig into this further.
