From what you are stating, this should work correctly. The main things are the Based On, which needs to be set to the Cumulative Delta study, and the Region which needs to be the same region as the Cumulative Delta study. Otherwise, make sure that the Draw Style for the Color Bar subgraph is Color Bar.
