2) When you start a Sub-Instance the very first time (first time ever starting that particular sub-instance) then the files from the Main Instance are copied into that Sub-Instance, so your Chartbooks would all look the same at that point. But, going forward the instances are completely separate and the files are not copied. If you want to have the same chartbooks in both then you would need to copy the chartbooks from one instance to the other.
