Denali Data - Following up on Sierra Documentation suggestion to "Check with your Data or Trading services provider and make sure your Data/Trading account is authorized for streaming real-time data for the particular exchange the symbol trades on. For additional information, refer to Symbol Not Authorized On Data/Trading Service Account. from the section - 3.4 - Not Receiving Real-Time Data From Data Feed Which linked to the section - Symbol Not Authorized On Data/Trading Service Account One reason you receive a Symbol is Unknown message on the chart for a symbol is because the particular symbol is not authorized on the Data or Trading services account you are using Sierra Chart with. You will need to contact your Data or Trading service provider and tell them particular symbols you want to have authorized on your account. This is especially true with CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) symbols because the CME has begun to charge exchange fees for their market data for all users, effective as of 2015-01-01. |
