First thing is to select Tools >> Cancel Zoom In to ensure you are not zoomed into a blank portion of the chart.

If the option for Cancel Zoom In is not available, then you are no longer zoomed into that chart. In which case, you need to reset the scales. First make sure the scales are set to Automatic and then reset them. Refer to the following sections of the documentation:
