Thank you. I dont know what exactly happened but i do believe the initial cause was that my hard drive was completely full. The RAM was at 98% use, Sierra was not behaving properly (e.g. data points were being skipped, gaps i bars etc ...) and other programs also were not working properly and referencing that there was not enough disc space. I could not even open close any windows without significant delay. I did wind up cleaning up and creating some space and that helped. So i started to shut down my subinstances and the 3rd and 2nd subinstances did not shut down properly. I got recurring error messages that i had never seen before. I was not able to retrieve the picture i sent you because i dont think the picture was take because of the low disc space. When I went to restart the platform and the subinstances - they were gone/blank. So i was able to create new subinstances and then open the backup chartbook files One of the problems I am having is that in my subinstnace 3 which i was doing alot of work on. I had set up the Global Graphics settings in that subinstance. I had saved those settings under a name. However I cannot find any of the Global graphics settings i created in that subinstance. i dont see it in backups section of that subinstance. How do you think i can find it ? Or do you think it is lost ? Will work on cleaning up the folders/symbols as you suggested. If i get another computer (i am considering to get a backup) how much hard disc space do you suggest. I have 500 GB now. It does not seem like this enough ? Thank you |
