We just tried this to ensure it is working properly and we did not have any issue. The most likely reason that you are having an issue is that you do not have that particular configuration selected when you are drawing that extending rectangle. The second most likely reason is that you set this up for an Extending Rectangle and you are drawing a regular rectangle, or vice versa. If everything looks correct and it is still not working, then we would need an image of your Configuration window to see how it is setup.
