Okay, thank you for the clarification. A couple follow ups: 1. Are the simulated trading servers all real time only, as in there is no backtesting support? I maybe misread the functionality. Based on your response that you can place trades but have no data makes me think there is no way it would support a replay/backtest mode given that the system would need the data to serve as the "clock". 2. For server based deployments, does sierra have a "headless" mode where you can run it with a low resource footprint and just use it as a proxy to the Denali data servers from a DTC client application? This would be similar to IQFeed and IB's gateways. If there is nothing out of the box for this, I suppose this would be achieved via a virtual frame buffer and opening sierra with an empty chartbook -- although it would still require wine. Is that the best approach or is there an alternative? Thank you. |
