Good afternoon, I have updated Sierra Charts to the latest version that came out a few days ago. I have been seeing a lag between the price movement between the Trading DOM's and Charts. The price movement in charts are quite slow compare to the price ladder in the Trading DOM ( please see attached) I am following the steps under "Improving Performance of Chart/Trade DOM: 1) I have updated to the newest version that was released a few days ago. 2) I am using Denali Exchange Data Feed 3) I open two Trading DOM's and three charts with no studies For steps 4-6: 4- Adjust the "Chart Update Interval" 5- Adjust the "Remote Buffer Delay Send Time In Milliseconds" 6- Adjust the "Max Depth Levels" My questions is that there are recommendations made for each adjustments in Sierra Chart, however, I am not sure if I should make any adjustments or stick with the default settings? Currently, I am using a windows computer with 8 GB ram and opening 2 Trading DOM's with 3 Charts ( no studies) just showing the price movements. This Windows computer is only used for Sierra Chart and nothing else is run on this computer.Since its a bit complicated to run Sierra Chart on a Mac I tried avoiding this path and use the Windows computer even though I have older Mac with 16 GB ram. My question is do you advise trying to download Sierra Chart to my Mac to help with the performance and speed? How can I check the performance of the Trading DOM and Charts in terms of speed? For the spec of my computer with 512 SD memory and 8 GB ram memory is opening two Trading DOM's and Three simple charts with no studies too much in order to preserve the optimal performance of Sierra charts? Thank you greatly for all your valuable guidance. |
