To get the CME non professional rate do I just connect to my IB acct once a month...
What is stated above is correct. In order to get the data from the CME Group at the non-professional exchange rates, you need to prove that you have a live, funded, futures trading account. If you are not going to stay connected to that account, then you need to connect once a month to it to prove that you still have the account.
