It's not conflicting information, it is just similarly named items by the same company. So we need to know, which VIX are you wanting to get data for. Do you want the actual VIX Index, which is provided by the CBOE or are you wanting the VIX Futures, which are traded on the CFE (CBOE Futures Exchange)?
