Hi - Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I don't think I can try the steps you suggested because as I noted the system print dialog never becomes available. The dialog flashes for an instant (only the window frame of the print dialog gets drawn), then disappears, and Sierra puts up its alert. A bit more info... After I restart Sierra, I can print OK, multiple charts, as long as I keep printing one after another in succession. It's when there is an extended pause in printing that the problem occurs. Also, when this occurred today, I tried switching to a different app to see if the issue was system wide. However, I was able to print normally from the other app (Evernote). I don't know anything about Windows' printing architecture, but the behavior makes me think that Sierra may be holding on to a stale reference to some system resource, which then fails when it tries to invoke the print dialog? Here's my system info if it can be of any use: Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 Installed on 9/22/2020 OS build 19042.1165 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0 |
